Mock Parliament at The Sapience School & Talk to Highlight ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the Spirit of National Service

In a distinctive initiative combining civic education, patriotism, and leadership, The Sapience School, Vikasnagar, Dehradun is set to organize a Mock Parliament Session on 9 October 2025 under its Civic and Leadership Development Programme. The event aims to nurture democratic understanding among students while inspiring them with the timeless values of discipline, integrity, and service to the nation.

The school will have the honour of hosting Colonel Mayank Chaubey (Retd), Leadership Mentor and Strategic Geopolitical Speaker, as the Chief Guest. Known for his dynamic engagement with young audiences, Col Chaubey will address the gathering on the theme —
“Operation Sindoor: The Strength of Our Armed Forces and the Armed Forces as a Career Option for Young Aspirants.”

Colonel Chaubey has recently interacted with students of The Asian School and Mount Fort Academy, Dehradun, where his sessions on Operation Sindoor and The Strength of the Armed Forces received widespread appreciation from both students and faculty members. His talks are remembered for their blend of historical perspective, real-life experiences, and motivational appeal that connect deeply with young minds.

At The Sapience School, Col Chaubey will share insights from his distinguished military career, highlighting how courage, sacrifice, and national resolve define India’s defence ethos. His address will also delve into Operation Sindoor—a landmark example of India’s strategic readiness and decisive response framework—illustrating how the spirit of the Indian soldier embodies the nation’s confidence and character.

Adding another inspiring voice to the event, Lt Col Divya Gaur (Retd) will address students on career prospects in the Armed Forces, especially for those aspiring to serve the country in uniform. Drawing from her personal journey, she will speak about opportunities available to both young men and women, the rigorous yet rewarding process of training, and the pride of wearing the nation’s uniform. Her talk will aim to motivate students to consider defence services as a purposeful and honourable career path.

The Mock Parliament Session itself will give students a platform to experience the essence of democracy in action. Through debates, discussions, and deliberations, they will explore the responsibilities that come with leadership, learning to balance conviction with respect for differing viewpoints. The initiative seeks to foster a sense of civic awareness and responsible citizenship among the youth.

The school administration expressed that the event aligns with its broader mission to shape students who are “academically strong, socially responsible, and emotionally connected to the nation’s values.”

The programme will commence with a patriotic pledge, an interactive motivational session and conclude with the collective echo of “ Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, capturing the patriotic fervour that defines The Sapience School’s educational vision.

With such meaningful themes and distinguished speakers, the event is poised to leave a lasting impression on the students, reinforcing the idea that true leadership begins with service, and that the strength of India lies in the resolve of its youth.
