Pune, November 4, 2025 — Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation, under the leadership of Dr. Garima Kavathekar, conducted two impactful awareness sessions today focusing on Noise Pollution and its Impact on Health and Society.
The first session was held at A.M. College, Mahadev Nagar, Manjari (BK), Pune, under the guidance of Sau. Sayyed Madam, Vice Principal. Around 90 students and over 10 teachers and staff members actively participated, engaging in practical discussions on reducing everyday noise pollution.
The second session took place at S.M. Joshi Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Mahadev Nagar, Manjari (BK), Pune, led by Sau. Minakshi Ulhas Langote, Mukhyadhyapika. The session saw 300+ students of Classes 9 and 10, along with teachers and staff, gaining deeper understanding about the harmful effects of noise and solutions for a quieter environment.
Both sessions were addressed by Dr. Garima Kavathekar, Founder Director of Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation and a well-known environmental advocate, supported by team members Mr. Rajendra Kulkarni and Mr. Ganpati Khot.
In total, over 400 individuals were empowered with awareness, and many expressed their commitment to spread this message further among friends, family, and peers—multiplying the impact across the community.
Dr. Garima Kavathekar shared:
