The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi announced historic Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement covering goods, services, investment, mobility, IP, sustainability. The landmark agreement will deepen Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and catalyse trade, investment, growth, job creation and innovation. in both economies. The Prime Minister also stated that India had recently struck trade deals with the UAE, Australia, and Mauritius. He emphasized that India is not only undertaking reforms, but also actively engaging with the rest of the world in order to establish itself as a vibrant hub for trade and commerce.
Shri Modi states that India has consistently followed the NATION FIRST policy during the last ten years. He stressed that in the past, concerns about political survival, electoral calculations, and public opinion led crucial decisions to be delayed. In addition, the PM emphasized Over the last decade, the government has addressed long-standing concerns, improved the financial sector, restructured failing organizations such as Air India, and prioritized national interests through bold action and structural economic changes.

Addressing the subject of water security, he claimed that for decades, India’s legitimate share of water has been flowing outside its borders due to a lack of decisive action. He announced, “India’s water will now flow in accordance with Indian interests.” “The water that belongs to India will remain in India,” underlining his government’s commitment to protecting national resources for development and farmer welfare.
In a significant step forward in space exploration, the Prime Minister revealed that India’s first human space mission, Gaganyaan, has reached its final phase. He added that the government is currently preparing for its first human spaceflight, which is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2027.

He emphasized Aatmanirbhar Bharat and GEP (Gross Empowerment of People), calling for collaborative effort to establish a developed India by 2047.
