YouTube Channels unregulated are involved in raising funds from the viewers, stating to meet their overhead cost without displaying their PAN / GST / Aadhar numbers. Many YouTube Channel do rake in moolah from monetizing through their channels. Infact in 2023, YouTube introduced a reduced access route for monetization, allowing creators with 500 subscribers to qualify. Many YouTubers like Anu Lall run their YouTube Channels from their Android phones and have delivered enlightening content without incurring any substantial cost. In its quest to raise subscribers and increase revenues, The Madras High Court recently remarked that some Youtube channels have become a menace to society and are publishing derogatory content to increase their subscriptions. So its time the Union government and Income Tax Department, Government Of India mandate the requirement for YouTube Channel owners to register if they are involved in raising funds for their channels through their shows. Read this.//The “rip you apart” phrase was not used for the Yoga Guru, but the Uttarakhand Licensing Authority. The principle remains valid regardless of whether it was used for Baba Ramdev or the hapless licensing authority.//As per the article the Judges were angry at officials. This was clear dereliction of duty and clear contempt of case. And if the Government Authorities willfully ignores the directions of the court, the Judiciary has to act against the officers. In my view the facts has been misrepresented in media to portray the Judiciary in bad light. We do not wish to have trial by media. The courts Judgement may not be to our liking.
