New Delhi, India – Under the visionary guidance of renowned social activist Dr. Garima Kavathekar, Founder Director of Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation (NSWF), a Noise Pollution Awareness Drive was successfully conducted in New Delhi and was featured by France 24, a state-owned international news television network based in Paris.
The initiative was led by Supreme Court lawyer Ms. Mohini Priya, who spearheaded the campaign and actively engaged with citizens across key public locations in the capital. Through direct interaction and awareness activities, the team educated the public about the serious health risks and environmental consequences of rising noise pollution.
The France 24 team, including Ms. Khansa and her crew, covered the NGO’s work and its impactful campaign, highlighting the urgency of addressing noise pollution in India. The channel documented the Foundation’s ground-level efforts, public engagement initiatives, and expert insights on the harmful effects of excessive noise on physical and mental well-being. The documentary was subsequently broadcast on France 24, bringing international visibility to the issue and to NSWF’s environmental advocacy mission.
Noise pollution remains one of the most overlooked environmental threats, contributing to hearing impairment, stress-related disorders, sleep disturbances, cardiovascular complications, and reduced quality of life. Through this campaign, NSWF reinforced the need for stronger enforcement of regulations, increased public awareness, and collective responsibility.
Dr. Garima Kavathekar reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to building a healthier and more peaceful society. “If we do not act today, the consequences for future generations will be severe. Awareness is the foundation of transformation,” she stated.
The campaign marks another significant milestone in NSWF’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental conservation and sustainable living across India.
