Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation Signs MoU with PMC’s Late Ramchandra Bankar English Primary School for Noise Pollution Awareness

Year-round noise pollution awareness initiative for students of Classes 5 to 8

Pune, 22 August 2026: Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation, an organization committed to environmental conservation and creating awareness against noise pollution, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Late Ramchandra Bankar English Primary School, a Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) school in Hadapsar, Pune, to undertake a year-round Noise Pollution Awareness Program.

The MoU was signed on 22 August 2026 for the academic year 2026–27, focusing on students from Classes 5 to 8. The initiative aims to create greater awareness among students about noise pollution and encourage environmental responsibility from an early age.

The collaboration between the PMC school and Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation represents a meaningful step towards strengthening environmental education and community awareness. Through this partnership, students will be encouraged to understand the importance of maintaining a healthier and quieter environment.

The MoU signing was attended by Mrs. Chandekar, Principal of Late Ramchandra Bankar English Primary School; Dr. Garima Kavathekar, Founder, Director & CEO of Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation; Mr. Rajendra Kulkarni, Manager; and Mr. Gaurav Kavathekar.

Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation’s Journey

Nisarg Srishti Welfare Foundation has been working for several years in the areas of noise pollution awareness, environmental conservation, student awareness, and community engagement.

The Foundation has conducted more than 48 awareness sessions, reaching approximately 15,400+ direct beneficiaries. Its environmental awareness initiatives have also received significant digital reach, helping spread the message of environmental responsibility to a wider audience.

The Foundation has also been actively working on noise monitoring, school-based awareness, community participation, and technology-driven environmental initiatives.

Creating Awareness from Students to Society

The Foundation believes that environmental conservation and responsible behaviour should be encouraged from an early age. Students can play an important role in taking positive messages from schools to their families and communities.
